Guide company admins through practical Zenegy setup and operational checks.
Who this is for
Company admins, HR admins, and payroll contacts responsible for employee data and payroll-linked giving flows.
Prerequisites
- You have company admin access in Actnation.
- You have Zenegy access, or you can request connection from the payroll owner.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Start from onboarding or settings
Open Employee Setup and choose payroll connection.
2. Connect directly or request access flow
- Direct connection: complete if you have payroll credentials.
- Request flow: send connection request to the payroll responsible contact.
3. Validate employee records
After connection, confirm employees, statuses, and filters in Company -> Employees.
4. Confirm downstream workflows
Verify that onboarding, invitations, and participation tracking use the synced employee base.
What users should expect
- Zenegy connection primarily supports employee provisioning and payroll-aligned operations.
- Employee records can affect company dashboard, voting operations, and communication flows.
Common issues and troubleshooting
- Connection pending for too long: follow up with the payroll owner who received the request.
- Employee mismatch after sync: confirm source data quality and rerun the update process.
- Missing employees in Actnation: validate search/filter state before assuming sync failure.
Verify success
- Employee sync results are visible in Company Employees.
- Ongoing onboarding or operations can continue with the synced employee dataset.
