How Employee Voting Works

Purpose

Explain how employees participate in corporate giving voting and how their allocated amount is distributed.

Who this is for

Employees voting in company-sponsored charitable campaigns.

Prerequisites

  • Your company has an active or upcoming voting period.
  • You received a voting link in your company email.

Step-by-step instructions

The link includes your employee token and opens employee mode (not guest mode).

2. Browse causes

You land on the causes page where you can read campaign details before voting.

3. Cast votes

Vote from cause cards or from cause details. Your company defines max votes per period (1 to 3).

4. Manage your selections

If you exceed max votes, additional selections can appear as pending in My Votes.

5. Wait for period completion

When the period closes, your allocated amount for that period is distributed across your selected causes.

What users should expect

  • Guest mode can view causes but cannot submit employee votes.
  • Vote lock rules and period status determine whether changes are still possible.

Common issues and troubleshooting

  • Opened in guest mode: use the invitation link from your email.
  • Cannot cast more votes: check your vote limit and pending-vote behavior in My Votes.
  • No active voting UI: your company may be between periods.

Verify success

  • You can cast at least one vote (when an active period is available).
  • Vote state is visible in My Votes.
